200 Jobs for Christmas at Amazon’s Ravenhall Fulfillment Centre

Great news for local jobseekers: The new fully-operational Amazon Fulfillment Centre (FC) at Dexus’s Horizon 3023 Estate in Ravenhall is looking to fill around 200 new jobs in preparation for this year’s Christmas rush.

The company is looking for workers with a range of experience and skill levels to help pick, pack and ship orders over the festive season.

Amazon Australia plans to onboard around 1,000 seasonal workers nationally for the holiday season, with jobs available at its fulfilment centres and Amazon Logistics sites across the country.

“These are new, seasonal job opportunities that provide extra income during the holiday season, offering Australians the opportunity to earn competitive pay in a safe and supportive work environment,” Amazon Australia Director of Operations, Craig Fuller said this week.

“We are pleased to offer job opportunities across the country at a time when they are needed most.

“There are opportunities for motivated, enthusiastic people from all backgrounds and we look forward to welcoming them to our sites around Australia as we head into the holiday period.”

Mr Fuller confirmed that the seasonal roles could open doors to ongoing employment with Amazon.

The announcement follows the creation of more than 600 new permanent roles at Amazon sites in 2021.

At 37,000 square metres, the Ravenhall FC is almost double the size of the Melbourne Cricket Ground – with capacity to house up to six million items from Amazon.com.au.

The Ravenhall facility complements Amazon’s first Australian FC in Dandenong, South which opened in 2017.
