Member Spotlight: Amigos Community Solutions
Amigos Community Solutions are a
local business making a big impact in disability support.
Tony Di Iorio, founder and Director of Amigos Community Solutions, has transformed his career path from electrician to a passionate advocate and support coordinator in the disability sector. Motivated by a deep desire to help others—and inspired by his younger brother who has autism—Tony found his true calling in the NDIS space. After gaining hands-on experience as a support worker, he transitioned into support coordination, where he felt he could make an even greater impact on people's lives.
In March 2024, Tony launched Amigos with the mission to provide genuine, friendly, and reliable support to people living with disability. Since then, the business has grown from a solo operation to a dedicated team of three staff members supporting 72 participants.
Recently, the organisation received its official NDIS registration—a significant milestone for the team, now affectionately known as the “three amigos. ”Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
Based out of the Western Bace in Cobblebank, Tony is actively involved in the City of Melton's business and disability support communities. He is a member of the Melton Service Provider Network and regularly attends local events, including the upcoming Melton Able + Meet and a networking event he’ll be hosting for NDIS providers in September.
Despite challenges—such as managing participant transitions during staff growth—Tony has been heartened by the unexpected camaraderie among fellow NDIS providers. Looking ahead, Amigos plans to expand its support coordination team and eventually offer group activities that foster friendships among participants.
