Bigger and louder than last month, our European Market drew great crowds with more than 3000 people reigniting the Melton Town Centre and capturing the hearts of visitors and local businesses alike.

 On Friday, 7 March, the event featured a wide array of market stalls and food trucks, and spectacular traditional performances that connected us with European culture. From the electrifying Oompah band to the dazzling Moulin Rouge show and high-energy Greek dancing, Melton Night Market – European Night had everyone moving!  Our tastebuds took a passport-free journey across Europe, indulging in traditional panzerotti from Italy, sizzling souvlakis from Greece, buttery pierogi from Poland, Dutch poffertjes from the Netherlands, and perfect cannoli from Sicily. Warm pizzas were also spotted, picked up from local surrounding businesses.

For our grand finale, enjoy Māori temporary ink stamps, Cook Island lei-making, a Cook Island drumming workshop, and traditional dances including the Haka and Hula – plus much more! After working up an appetite, savour the flavours of Polynesian, Tongan and Samoan cuisine from our food trucks, alongside a variety of global flavours.
