Western Water – bill support for business customers

Western Water provides water, recycled water and sewerage services to businesses and residents within parts of the City of Melton.

As part of its charter as an essential service provider, Western Water has vital support programs tailored to suit both residential and business customers impacted by COVID-19

If your business or residence is located in the Diggers Rest, Eynesbury, Melton or Rockbank areas, it is likely to be serviced by Western Water.

Check your bill if you are unsure if your location within the City of Melton is serviced by Western Water.

Western Water’s financial support comes in three main ways.

1.       More to time pay

Call them and ask for the due date of your bill to be extended to a time in the future where you know you will be in a position to pay.

It’s best if you contact them before your bill due date and have a date in mind of when you know you can cover the cost.

2.       Payment plans

An example of a payment plan would be for you to make smaller, more frequent payments. For instance make fortnightly or monthly payments over 12 months.

How this works:

  • If your typical bill is around $400, your annual costs might be around $1200. They may be able to split this into payments of $46 per fortnight or $100 per month.

So contact Western Water for a personalised payment estimate that takes into account your current balance and the estimate of your likely future costs.

3.       Other Assistance

Depending on your circumstances, Western Water may be in a position to provide other assistance to your business operation.

If you think this may apply to your business, contact them directly about your situation and see if you are eligible to access it
