Local Goods and Service Providers Wanted for $900m Project
The Victorian Government has committed more than $900 million to deliver the new Melton Hospital project. It will provide the foundation for a healthy and prosperous Melton, enabling high-quality acute healthcare, close to home.

The development will be delivered as a Public Private Partnership (PPP). This involves bringing together a private consortium to design, construct, finance and maintain the new hospital. Exemplar Health, comprising of Lendlease (design and construct), Capella (investment), Honeywell and Compass (facilities management) is the appointed consortium.
Base Scope
PPP to design, construct, finance, and provide facilities management services for:
capacity for 395 points of care (up to 274 Beds)
24-hour emergency department
intensive care unit
maternity and neonatal services
mental health services
radiology services
ambulatory care
general administration
breakout spaces for 3,975 staff, 1,000 public and staff carparking spaces, plus additional drop-off, short stay carparks
extensive landscape and wellbeing spaces.
Timing
The project is currently in the design and early procurement phase. Major construction is expected to start mid-2025, with project completion on track for 2029.
Supplier Opportunity
Exemplar Health is seeking interest from suppliers, contractors, registered social enterprises and/or Aboriginal businesses who may be able to perform works, supply materials, or provide services during the operational phase. Packages of works will vary in scale and nature as the final design progresses and may be divided or packaged to suit the capacity and capability of the interested parties.
