Six Court Stadium a Step Closer
Development of the Cobblebank area continues with impressive progress on Cobblebank Stadium.
The structural steel and pre-cast panels are complete for all six courts, the framing, plaster and services rough-in are also finished in the player change areas, and the roofing, façade and services rough-in are well underway in the court areas.
Despite COVID-19 impacting available workforce numbers, the project is still on target for completion late this year.
Once completed the stadium, located on the corner of Ferris and Bridge Roads, will house six courts (including a show court and seating) for basketball, netball, volleyball, badminton, table tennis, futsal and community programs.
At $31 million, this six-court facility ranks as Melton City Council’s highest value project to date.
Council awarded the $26 million contract to construct the facility to H.Troon in February and works kicked off in March.
The project will include:
Six indoor high-ball courts (including show court and seating)
Player, referee and public amenities
Administration and reception
Flexible meeting and social spaces
Kiosk and seating areas
Car parking
