Expand and invest in the City of Melton

The City of Melton is one of Australia’s fastest growing cities with a population that is forecast to grow to over 450,000 over the next 20 years.

Over the last decade countless national and multination companies have chosen to invest in our developing commercial centres and industrial estates, resulting in the growth of the City of Melton’s Gross Regional Product from $3.665B in 2014 to $8.539B in 2024 according to data by the National Institute of Economic and Industry Research (NIEIR), which can be accessed on the City of Melton Economy.id pages.

In this article we draw your attention to some of the areas that you should consider if your small-to-medium enterprise is planning to expand its footprint, or if you have outgrown your current premises and are in search of a bigger and better home for your business.

Office Space and Light Industry

Areas such as Caroline Springs, Melton, Ravenhall and upcoming precincts in Mount Cottrell, Cobblebank and Diggers Rest are prime investment destinations for those looking for a new home for their services, trade or manufacturing business. Opportunities range from development ready lots in emerging estates to ready-to-occupy premises in already established and thriving precincts.

Retail, Hospitality, Recreation and Services

Our town centres are the beating heart of our suburbs, providing residents and visitors alike with plentiful options to shop, dine, socialise and more.

Diggers Rest, Deanside and Rockbank all have new town centres coming in the years ahead. Established destinations such as the Melton Town Centre, Woodgrove Shopping Centre, Opalia Plaza, CS Square and Caroline Springs Shopping Centre also provide opportunities if you follow the market closely.

Please refer to listings on commercial real estate platforms for leasing enquiries or contact council for support and facilitation.

Health, Care and Social Assistance

The development of the new Melton Hospital is underway with completion expected in 2029. At the same time construction has commenced for the Cobblebank Community Services Hub. Both projects will support the development of a health, medical, and associated product and services cluster that will transform the Cobblebank Metropolitan Activity Centre (CMAC) and the wider Cobblebank Employment and Mixed Use (CEMU) precinct. To enquire about future tenancies at the Cobblebank Community Services Hub please visit our website.

To learn more about the CMAC, CEMU and the many other future urban areas and centres planned for our city, visit the Urban Design Framework page on Council’s website.
