Central Square Thornhill Park is Open for Business

The Central Square Thornhill Park IGA team

The new Central Square Thornhill Park development will be a thriving community hub and activity centre for the suburb of Thornhill Park, with IGA being the first business to open its doors on Wednesday 17 April.

When we met with the local IGA business owner earlier this month we were impressed by how quickly the fitout of the store was progressing and how eager and ready the team was to get started.

Business owner Tripti Gupta said most of the 20 roles that the store will support had already been filled with local candidates.

“We are excited about bringing great customer service and supporting the local community,” she said.

“It’s been a busy couple of weeks getting the store ready but now we are almost there.

“We can’t wait to welcome the community into our store and offer our wide range of food options, fresh produce, and all your grocery staples.

“We’ll have opening specials on general grocery, sub-continent groceries, liquor and fresh produce and we invite everyone to come on down and say hello.”

The activity centre will continue to evolve in the weeks ahead as a medical centre, Direct Chemist outlet and a gym are expected to open in May, with more tenancies nearing fitout completion and already leased.

A Landmark Developers representative told Venture Melton that there were only a few leasing opportunities left in the centre.

“We’ve had a really good response from the market, and we know that the community is keen to shop local rather than spending time in the car driving to other suburbs. Any interested parties and investors looking for food and beverage opportunities or office spaces in our precinct are welcome to get in touch.”

Central Square, Thornhill Park offers a mix of services, retail and food and beverage options to the local community, has ample parking and good pedestrian connectivity for local residents.

According to population forecast data available on the Melton City Council website, the suburb of Thornhill Park currently has an estimated resident population of 8039 which is forecast to grow to 26,468 people by 2051.

With a promising population forecast and the presence of strong retail and services anchors, plus the local kindergarten and the primary school just across the road, you can be confident that business potential and spending is likely to follow a steep growth trajectory in Thornhill Park.
