Same Day Printing

In the middle of every difficulty lies opportunity. 

Same Day Printing kicked off from a Caroline Springs garage in 2008 at the start of the GFC. 

"In hindsight it was child’s play when compared to the current day challenges we're all trying to navigate through," says co-founder Tom Dickson.

Entering from a marketing background that originally included website development, Tom and partner Ally Dickson redirected their passion into print marketing. 

This passion has since grown offering local employment and a purpose-built factory in Ravenhall.

The business is more than bricks and mortar. Same Day Printing have been regular contributors to the community through active involvement in the Greater Melton Chamber of Commerce, sponsorship of the Caroline Springs Lakers as well as supporting many not-for-profit events and initiatives over the past 12 years. They're very passionate about our community and are focussed on getting through these challenges together.

Like many of us working through COVID-19, Same Day Printing faced the loss of regular clients, deeply impacting their service delivery in the events, conferences, tradeshows and sporting club sectors.  They too have had to pivot to find work and solutions to continue to operate. 

Feeling fortunate that they could still navigate their way through new COVID-demand job opportunities, they launched a 'Print it Forward' campaign with their Five Free Tee Fridays which is open to all small businesses.

The business is experiencing growth in online delivery solutions that were previously not their core focus, such as product labels, box sleeves and belly bands.

"In that way COVID has  given us the gift of directing new customers to us who were previously unfamiliar with the business," says Tom.

"But nothing beats welcoming our previous clients back too!"

Tom and Ally have shown that while having an online presence is extremely important, you can not discount the power of print and offline marketing.
