Have you driven along the Melton Highway and wondered what was happening with the large property at 1491-1505 (next door to Galli)? Well wonder no more, introducing Round Rock Group.

Businessman, Harish Bisam, purchased the property in 2016 and started putting plans in place to turn the building from a residential home into an event and reception venue for the City of Melton.

2020 saw the commencement of operations with an open day, however further activity was bought to a halt with the arrival of the Covid19 pandemic. Not to be deterred, Harish and local builder Darryl, continued to construct and renovate whenever they could in line with restrictions. They have worked hard to support local businesses, sourcing materials locally wherever possible.

Round Rock Group is offering three different experiences in one venue – Round Rock Taphouse, Winery and Receptions.

Round Rock Taphouse opened officially at 12noon on February 12 2021 and one hour later was preparing for the statewide snap-lockdown. Not to be deterred, they have returned from this slightly aborted start and are now offering lunch and dinner from Thursday through to Sunday. The Taphouse offers a relaxed vibe for guests as well as an extremely popular cocktail menu.

Round Rock Winery is the continuation of the winery that was planted by the previous owner and specialises in Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon

Round Rock Receptions – is available for a range of celebrations with an indoor area seating up to 150 and a large deck area overlooking the vineyard.

Round Rock looks forward to welcoming guests at their upcoming Open Day on 27 March. There will be free grape picking (BYO bucket and bag), live music, jumping castle, face ainting and DIY Wine Making sessions at 1pm/3pm/5pm
