Visual Merchandising for Christmas!
Without a doubt, December is one of the biggest retailing months of the year.
From a merchandising perspective, there is plenty to do – its showtime!
Shoppers are out there looking to spend their money and competition can be fierce. It’s time to start asking yourself: Have I got enough stock? How Christmassy is my store going to look? What sort of shopping experience do I offer your customers during this festive season?
Retail specialist, Ching Ching Lee shared ‘tools’ and ‘tips’ of the trade to create engaging displays, stand-out shopfronts, sensory retail experiences including that Christmas touch!
Some planning advice for creating that festive ambience include:
choose a Christmas theme and style (traditional, modern, minimalist, etc)
decide on colour and props (outright purchase or a DIY approach with a factor on budget)
determine who is responsible for installing the Christmas Display. (Do you engage a Visual Mechandiser or do you have the creative touch?)
make sure that the Christmas windows and store displays are up by the end of November ideally for 4-6 weeks of exposure.
