Conveyed Legal saves time with innovative approach
Melissa Barlas had always wanted to work for herself, but it took a leap of faith when she decided to start her own law firm, Conveyed, specialising in conveyancing.
That leap was back in March this year, and it paid off. Melissa says she now feels free and in total control of her day-to-day work life.
“I believe wholeheartedly that every person should have a place in this complex world where they can belong,” Melissa says.
“When bringing property into the equation, a place to belong could be your first home, or a place to escape. It could be a brand-new start in a new area closer to work or it could be the home you picture yourself in to raise a family.
Conveyed’s purpose is help people get to that place of belonging, with every settlement and in everything we do.”
Melissa says Conveyed is committed to an innovative approach that enables a quick and personalised conveyancing service for individuals, couples and families buying, selling or transferring property in Victoria.
Contracts are reviewed for buyers in 48 hours, on average, and prepared for sellers within an average of one week.
“This saves clients time and ensures that they can achieve their property goals quickly and easily,” Melissa says.
As a property lawyer with close to 10 years of specialist conveyancing experience, Melissa’s clients can have peace of mind knowing that they have full access to her expertise from day one through to settlement.
Working from home in Fraser Rise, Melissa loves attending Venture Melton Business Networking events. Conveyed also has a drop in office in Niddrie to see clients, as it is a central location.
In addition to running her business, Melissa runs a podcast called The First Home Show, dedicated to giving legal tips and education to first home buyers in Victoria.
